I hope your summer is off to a good start! I have been shopping, moving, getting organized around the office. Outside of work, we took a day trips over the Memorial Day weekend to Philadelphia which was absolutely terrific. It was nice to "get away" without really having to travel. Sun, good food, a bit of scenery change...all good things. We are also house hunting, so it hasn't been a relaxing summer so far, but it's all good things.
Grand opening SALE!!
In case you have missed my email (and Facebook) announcements, all massage sessions are 20% off in June. So, come check out the new office and get a great deal at the same time. Discount cannot be combined with other offers.
Spots are filling up fast, so get on the schedule today!
Why should I drink water after a massage?
I am sure you have heard it. “Drink lots of water after your massage.” You have probably even been handed a cup of water after your massage session just so your massage therapist can be sure you are drinking at least a few ounces (because we all know you are going for the large coffee or cocktail after your massage if left unsupervised). But why should you drink water after a massage? There are a few reasons for this.
Most of us are slightly dehydrated anyway. Of course, I am not talking about severe dehydration which is a medical condition. But, most of us drink far more caffeine and alcohol (both diuretics which leach water from your body) than we do pure water. This leaves us in a bit of a deficit. And a massage is a great time to remind yourself to care for the INSIDE of your body, too.
